Zodiac profiles are the foundation of ZodiacDrone. Each profile represents a person's birth chart and enables personalized AI readings.
What is a Zodiac Profile?
A zodiac profile contains:
- Birth Information - Date, time, and place of birth
- Calculated Signs - Sun, moon, and rising signs
- Natal Chart Schema - Complete planetary positions
- Tags - Custom labels for organization
Creating a Profile
Required Information

What Gets Calculated
Based on your input, ZodiacDrone automatically calculates:
With birth date only:

- All planetary positions
With birth date + time + place:
- ☀️ Sun Sign
- 🌙 Moon Sign
- ⬆️ Rising Sign (Ascendant)

- Full natal chart schema

Managing Multiple Profiles
ZodiacDrone allows you to create multiple profiles:

- Family members - Explore family dynamics
Primary Profile
One profile is marked as "primary" - this is used by default for:
- Quick readings from the dashboard
- Default chart in AI conversations
- Share card generation
To change your primary profile:
- Go to Profile Settings
- Select the profile you want as primary
- Click "Set as Primary"
Profile Fields Explained
Birth Date
The most important field. Your birth date determines your sun sign and the positions of all planets on that day.
Format: Any standard date format (e.g., "February 14, 1995" or "1995-02-14")
Birth Time
Your exact time of birth enables calculation of:
- Moon Sign - The moon moves quickly, so time matters
- Rising Sign - Changes every ~2 hours
- House Positions - Which life areas planets influence
Format: 24-hour or 12-hour format (e.g., "15:45" or "3:45 PM")
Birth time accuracy: Even a 30-minute difference can change your rising sign. Try to get the most accurate time possible from your birth certificate or family records.
Birth Place
Your birth location is used to calculate:
- Rising Sign - Based on the eastern horizon at your birth location
- House Cusps - The exact degree of each house
- Local Sidereal Time - For precise calculations
Format: City name (e.g., "San Francisco, CA" or "Tokyo, Japan")
Nickname
A friendly name to identify this profile. Useful when you have multiple profiles.
Examples: "Me", "My Partner", "Mom", "Best Friend"
Tags
Custom labels for organizing profiles.
Examples: "family", "friends", "work", "romantic"
Editing Profiles
You can update any profile information at any time:
- Go to your profile list
- Click the edit icon on the profile
- Update the fields
- Save changes
Note: When you update birth information, all zodiac signs and the natal chart are automatically recalculated.
Deleting Profiles
To delete a profile:
- Go to your profile list
- Click the delete icon
- Confirm deletion
Warning: Deleting a profile also deletes all associated readings. This action cannot be undone.

Best Practices
For Accurate Readings
- Always include birth time if you know it
- Double-check your birth date - one day off changes everything
- Use specific birth places - "New York City" is better than "New York"
For Organization
- Use descriptive nicknames - "Partner - John" instead of just "John"
- Add tags for easy filtering - "family", "friends", "work"
- Set your primary profile to your own chart
For Privacy
- Only create profiles for people who consent
- Don't share profile links without permission
- Delete profiles when no longer needed

Can I create a profile without birth time?
Yes! You'll get your sun sign and basic planetary positions. Moon and rising signs require birth time.
How accurate are the calculations?
ZodiacDrone uses professional-grade ephemeris data for calculations. Accuracy depends on the precision of your birth information.
Can I import profiles from other apps?
Not currently, but you can manually enter the birth information.
Are profiles private?
Yes, your profiles are only visible to you unless you explicitly share a reading.
